Paul Leeson is a cardiologist, Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Oxford and Head of the Oxford Cardiovascular Clinical Research Facility. His research group has pioneered the use of imaging and AI within cardiology. Innovations developed by the group, particularly in the field of echocardiography, are now in use in hospitals in the UK and United States. He sits on the NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) and fellowship funding panels. Paul is a member of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) cardiovascular disease prevention committee and the UK Biobank imaging advisory board.
