Katie has over 30 years’ experience in the NHS – her clinical background is in nursing and midwifery. She has worked in research, risk management and quality improvement. At Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley she initially worked within the Oxford Patient Safety Collaborative leading on the national patient safety acute kidney injury programme, including the award-winning care home Good Hydration! project. She also led the national maternity and neonatal programme, supporting trusts within the Oxford region to improve safety using quality improvement methodology. Katie moved to her current workforce role in November 2020. Her passion for empowering the workforce was shared at TEDxNHS undivided conference.
