Janet has been Chief Medical Officer at the Royal Berks since 2019 and recently completed an eight-month interim role as Acting Chief Executive at the Trust.
She qualified as a doctor at St Georges Hospital, London, in 1999 and moved to the Royal Berks in 2007 as a consultant geriatrician. She established a successful top 10 rated orthogeriatric service.
Janet made the transition into management in 2010, initially as a Clinical Director. She was able to fuel her passion for high quality safe care for patients working with system colleagues to create new and innovative care pathways and services for patients across Berkshire West.
Janet is executive lead for research and innovation at the Trust, and leads the partnership with the University of Reading. She is also now the executive lead for the newly created Royal Berks Health Data Institute.
