Cardiovascular Disease Clinical Lead, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board

Heike is an experienced GP at a large practice in West Berkshire. She understands the importance of patient care, management of long term conditions (LTCs) and values the commitment that it takes to deliver this. She is a commissioner and Chair of the Berkshire West Long Term Conditions Board. This is where her passion of applying business intelligence to data started. She has been working with the Connected Care team for a number of years, using public health management approach to better the management of LTCs. Targeted work reduces variation and addresses inequalities for better patient outcomes. More recently Heike took on the Cardiovascular disease (CVD) Clinical Lead role and has continued to use this philosophy of BI, PHM in CVD prevention, focussing on addressing inequalities and deprivation, spearheading blood pressure at home and and heart failure projects.
