Dr Abid Irfan is on home turf! He has been a GP partner in a practice in the centre of Newbury for 15 years. He is an experienced clinician and commissioner, fulfilling roles as a longstanding clinical chair and planned care lead.
Nationally, he has worked for NHS England as GP contracts negotiator, specifically leading on primary care network specifications, QOF and QI elements of the new contract. In addition to his broad clinical experience, Abid can draw upon his corporate and commercial knowledge having qualified as a solicitor at leading international law firm CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP.
